I tried it again and this time used the "D" key to see if it would take me to the diagnostics. When holding down the "C" key during the boot it was supposed to boot, but it brought in the system from the internal drive. OK, I tried to boot to this new DVD and got the same result. ![]() So I am burning it to a DVD and I suspect that I can use it to run disk diagnostic and repair my internal drive.ĭisk Manager reports that the DVD is bootable. I still have the file in my download folder. It downloaded an installation program named Mac OSXUpd10.6.8.dmg. Today I updated the Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with an update to v 1.1. ![]() ![]() But, I think I have another solution that I just stumbled on.
